Hezekiah Prays to the Lord

¹⁴ When Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it, he went up to the ·Temple [^Lhouse] of the Lord. He spread the letter out before the Lord ¹⁵ and prayed ·to [before] the Lord: ¹⁶ “Lord ·All-Powerful [Almighty; of Heaven’s Armies; ^Tof hosts], you are the God of Israel, whose throne is ·between [above] the ·gold creatures with wings [^Lcherubim; Ex. 25:18–22; Ezek. 10:1], only you are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth [Gen. 1].
